The reality is this is a high end router that are more suited for a small business (SMB) or someone that is tech savvy and wants/knows how to tweak parameters to extract optimum performance. If you have a separate Shaw/Telus modem (or any other modem), you can set it up in bridge mode, connect the modem to the GbE WAN port and enjoy full router capabilities including the excellent wireless range and speed. With the integrated VoIP/SIP ports you can get a SIP account with VoIP.MS, ditch your phone provider and cut your phone bill dramatically. Selling the router as I want to get a simpler/cheaper setup but mostly try recover some of the investment I've made. I have another page where I'm selling another DrayTek router model 2860Vac.
